🚑Dakota came into BARC as a stray on 1/19. She was spayed on 1/31 and is not doing well.

📝Shelter Notes

i approached Dakota kennel she was laying in her bed with a neutral body, she did not eat her morning meal, her kennel was clean. I baby talked to her she didnt get up from bed she just had her head down. I slowly leash her ans she walked very slowly out the kennel with a neutral body. She walked next to me outside with her head down and she only pee outside. Walked back into her kennel and layed on her bed.

📝Medical Notes: S/O: dog was spayed yesterday 1/31/22 at an offsite facility. The notes are not updated to reflect surgery date included medications received. It was reported that dog's uterus was friable, spleen appeared to have some previous trauma, and some blood loss observed. The incision was extended to find the source. Reported to have ketofen and buprenorphine yesterday.

- this morning dog appears mildly lethargic but alert and responsive.

- MM is pink/moist, CRT <2s, T: 103.0F

- abdominal incision is apposed and unremarkable for 1 day post op spay. Dog is markedly painful near incision.

A: painful incision

hyperthermia

P: administered buprenorphine 1.5cc for pain coverage, cerenia 2.4cc for nausea, carprofen 100mg for inflammation/pain
